Exercise is important to keep your cat happy and healthy. There are a variety of cat toys to choose from in stores. And there are also plenty of DIY ( Do It Yourself) videos that you can try at home. Cats that eat a lot and don't exercise can become overweight, which can lead to obesity. Catnip is also good for pets, it helps them to relax.
Some of the toys that my cats like playing with is the laser pointer, the tiny plastic balls that makes a noise when you shake it, and the Catit Design Senses Play Circuit. The laser pointer is my personal favorite because it is a very fun and entertaining way to interact with your cats. When you first introduce your cat to the laser pointer, make sure that if your cat is running at a fast pace to turn off the laser pointer ahead of time. Your cat might crash into objects if they are running too fast and can't slow down fast enough.

Catnip is a member of the mint family, and cats react to a molecule in the essential oils from the plant. No one quite knows why. That potent stuff is in little droplets of oil that form on the surface of the plant and break open and attach to the cat when the animal rubs up against it. You can accelerate this process by rubbing catnip between your fingers before giving it to your pet, suggested cat-behavior consultant Pam Johnson-Bennett.
